Reply to "Ya can’t take’em with you, unfortunately."

I had a health scare a couple of years ago. In the past year I've sold off all my American HO,my collections of Marklin and Fleischmann HO,Standard Gauge reproductions as well as most of the post 2000 Modern (Command Control) era 3 rail trains Atlas/MTH/Weaver and lastly, all the broken DCS and TMCC systems were cheerfully tossed in the trash. I've only kept a select dozen of my modern scale Lionel sets like the Crescent and Blue Comet. I've come to the conclusion that "LESS headaches is MORE fun" so I'm focusing my interest to just running Postwar and Fundimensions era 1945-1985 trains as I am getting close to retirement. Presently, I'm building a 20' x 40' 3 rail classic postwar "around the room" layout using just Fastrack. I've dug out those four Z4000's and eight ZW's for some serious conventional running. Fortunately, I do have sons that are still very interested in trains so I don't worry about what will happen to the collection.
