Both layouts represent the epitome of why we're in this wonderful hobby.  Bob's layout definitely tugs at the roots many of us recall from our HO "scale days" reading Model Railroader magazine and John Armstrong books about track planning for realistic operation.  

 

OTOH, Bill's layout wins the prize for a layout that plays to the stage like a Broadway Show.  Simply magnificent!  

 

And beyond the actual layouts, the video production gives us a great glimpse into the personalities of each of the layout's creators.  Well produced.

 

Admittedly, there's no denying that real-life issues present challenges to most of us "playing with trains full-time".  But if these two layouts don't inspire us all to hit the ground running, nothing will.
