Z4000 remote will only control track 1

I have a Z4000 remote that will only control track one when connected to a Z4000 transformer. I have tried it on two different transformers and it always will only control track one no matter where i put the track selector switch. Wondering if there is any reset for the remote that will maybe let it work again or is there something in the transformers that is causing the problem.

Anybody have any ideas????
