I saw a flyer in the supermarket today that may be of interest to HO enthusiasts in Massachusetts and Southern NH. Sunday, Oct. 4th, 2015 from 10 AM to 4 PM is the Pepperell Siding Model Railroad Club's 30th Annual Train Shown and Open House....
The Valley Forge Model Train Show sponsored by Lionel Operating Train Society is scheduled for July 16 at the Radisson Valley Forge Hotel. The show is being held during the Society's 37th Annual Convention. http://www.lots-trains.org/2016ConvFebSWITCHER.pdf We still have tables available and space for a few more modular layouts. All scales and gauges are welcome. You do not need to be a Member of LOTS to set up at our show. More details can be found at the following link....
Ha... keen recognition Jon! Sure enough those saw horses have held hundreds of scenery pieces in our 35 years in business.... literally, they were built in 1982 and used every day. The T W in front of TrainWorx actually stands for Theatrical Warehouse, Roger is the only original founder who stuck with it and we still are designing & building sets/scenery/props on the TW Design side of business as well design/build of some amazing train layouts - blessed for sure!
Looks terrific. Thanks for taking the time to share. I'll ask the perhaps impolite question many people may be thinking about. If it's not too impertinent, what is the approximate cost of such a finished product? A range, if the specifics are too invasive of the client's privacy.
Thanks for posting the photos. That is so very cool. We don't usually get to see the behind the scenes work for a professionally built layout. I hope you can post some progress pictures along the way. Thanks, Ed
Indeed, it is always about our client's privacy. However, I can let you know that each layout design is an intense collaboration between Roger Farkash and the layout owner, who typically will have a considerable number of parameters - including budget - that he is working with, and it is our goal to balance all of those objectives while creating the client's ultimate model railroading experience. It's an investment in your passion... a hobby, no different than cars, boats, golf, horses,...
Thanks for posting! I always enjoy TW TrainWorx Layouts. This one reminds me of a Lionel Display Layout. Compact, well-placed track, accessories and scenery. Did Traingineers design the supports for the elevated line? They look good!
Love starting on residential layouts! This one will be installing in San Antonio, Texas after our 5th Annual Layout Festival, April 1st. Here is the color rendering Chief Traingineer did followed by picture of Traingineer George Watson, reviewing with client and then action shots of the fabrication CRANKING on the studio floor. Enjoy
This might sound crazy. But what about a train set/bunk bed combo. Trains on the bottom, bed on top? Or how about layouts which fold up into the wall, like beds, or the ironing board that did not like George Jetson?
Our second annual Valentine's Day Sale It sure would be nice to clear some room in our new shop - it's crowded in here with all of these trains. Maybe you could help us out, and find something below to add to your collection. There are specific discount codes for each product line for your use, as defined below. Previous sales and pre-orders are excluded. My thanks for taking a look. Sale ends midnight Valentine's Day. In-stock MTH Premier Powered Diesel Engines $50 off our already...

Ahh yes. Those of us that dealt with Mike via LCS sure miss him. This statement is no suprise: " Repaired a Lionel 2 truck shay in a matter of minutes that had been unsuccessfully repaired by one of Lionel’s top East Coast dealers." Its a unique/ amazing service you provide, with Mike on board its even better!
Just two days away from TW TrainWorx 5th Annual Layout Festival and check out the unfurling... It's not too late... event is this Saturday, April 1st - please sign up here: www.trainworxfestival.com Happy Tracks! Traindame aka Dorcie Farkash TW TrainWorx (214) 634-2965 www.blog.traindame.com
Hey OGR!! It's that time of year again for the annual Lionel Food Drive! Last year we donated over 40,000 lbs of food to the Cabarrus Region-Society for Human Resource Management to help feed the hungry. Our success was in large part to all of the amazing support we received from the OGR forum members! So if you are interested, here is a great opportunity to raise money for a great cause! Check out Lionel's Go Fund Me page to help feed the hungry near and far with 2017 NC CRSHRM Food Drive.
