here's another question concerning 022 switches--when I apply power to switch it only operates when the voltage plug is installed otherwise switch doesn't operate--I checked the wiring to the best of my knowledge and everything appears fine---as usual thanks in advance for any help Greg

If the side clip(red) does not make good contact with the booster pin, the switch will not be powered. The red wire shows the continuity to the center rail for power.
