I can understand that! But I still think it would be cool to have one. Heck I would love the idea of having a full size caboose!
One site that l can think of that has a caboose on it as well as other freight cars, uh..not in the best of shape, is obviously zoned agriculture. I am pretty sure that or similar would be a requirement, if you didn't want Big Brother in your face.
I can't say much...I want to build a Amtrak Superliner roomette in my train room where I could sleep.......
Yes, unless you live in a pretty rural area there would be someone who would complain. Big Brother would descend on you. Heck, they tear down kid's play houses. Some years ago when the Bessemer & Lake Erie were getting rid of their cabooses I told the Butler yard master I would like one. Told me I was nuts. They are expensive to move and set up too.
I would love to build one in my yard. I might get away with building the station but SWMBO would turn me into a toad if I started building the loco.
