Well its that time here in ole Tennessee...It's cooled to a crisp 60 and after a summer of 96 plus..its fall here.  I have decided to get a better start on this years Christmas layout than last.  So I thought I would post a few pictures and the building goes.   I have 3 lines on it and a super street.  The cardboard you see laying there is the foot print of the various building I have.  Instead of dragging them out I just pulled a few and copied there base, so to make it easy to figure out what gets where.  I reflocked the corner Mt. and built a new one there for my ski hill and country setting.  Stores will be on the wood shelving I have there. I bought some prints of store and just glues them to the front. I'm pleased with them.  Well here ya go.  I'll post some more as I go.   So just asking here....anyone else started theirsChristmas layout 2019 001Christmas layout 2019 002Christmas layout 2019 005Christmas layout 2019 003 yet???

Dougie,

Lookin' Good - also,  good to hear from you - I hope you and yours are well -

My Christmas layout is a floor deal with the tree next to the tv/stand. I have a trolley on some elevated supports, the soundbar sub-woofer and the end of the tv stand for a trolley the is bump n go. The big change this year will be some new buildings on the floor and the new FasTrack trolley stop track that didn't make it for last Christmas. Always lots of tress and elves and whimsical stuff for detail.

So, it is ready to go - no major work needed - 2020 - have some plans for that in the works

Here it is undecorated - quickest pic I could find from last year

Looks like a great Christmas layout is in the works, Dougie!  I'll look forward to seeing it come together!!!

As for me, I'm going to have to go simple this year.  I'm getting a knee replacement on Nov 5th, and have too many things to get done before surgery.  After surgery, well recovery will take me too far in so it may be a simple train under the tree and a Christmas train or two on the year round Scale layout I started earlier this year.

Great start to your Christmas Layout.

I haven't started mine, as with the exception of last year, the Christmas layout is in the same location as the Halloween layout (there was no Halloween layout last year as I could only use a bump-and-go trolley set... and I had no trolley).  The Halloween layout gets going this upcoming weekend.

I do a different layout set-up every year for Christmas and right now am going back and forth between 2 layouts.  I have a couple of weeks to decide which one.

There is trolly stops for fastracks????  I'll have to look that up.  Carl you'll just have to get a bigger living room...LOL.   Oh...I bought the Lionel Ski Train set when it came out and the engine never has run well at all.   I pulled it off the shelf yesterday for a test engine run on the tracks, and same thing.  Goes and stops goes and stops.  I picked it up and found the problem.   On the back drives, the very small gear that come off the motor that drives the other large gears, was almost off.  Seems that it was never pressed on right.   I know only of Charles Ro to ship this to for repair.  Anyone any better that you know?

The trolley announcement track - record your own announcements

Chuck Sartor 'O'nly 3Rail in Denver call him and mail it now to get it for Christmas - not better - I just like his work and he has parts for almost anything
