Great content guys, Mike M, thanks for the York Layout shots, hopefully next year, I'll finally be able to make it to York and possibly some of the other big events as well.  Steve, your work is getting better and better, I really liked your scrap car.  Very well done.

Well enough chit-chat, I've got more packing to do, I'm on my 3rd PODS and I have 2 more to go maybe a 3rd too, not totally sure yet.  I'm pretty sure my better half's quilting and sewing room will take up the better part of one PODS.  We shall see.  Wish me luck, the house goes back on the market the 1st of November so I need to have at least 85% to 90% of the house packed, I'm probably 65% now.

Cheers!!!

JEM, good luck with the packing and home sale.

Mike M., big props for taking and posting the layout photos--they're terrific.

SIRT, I know there is no limit on posting photos but 50+ in one reply seems excessive in my opinion.  Is this your market place?  In other words, are you posting these items hoping that members will buy a particular piece that you've shown here?

I ask because in terms of the skills you display here regularly, there isn't a need to show what are, to my eye, repetitive examples of your considerable skills.

I have tons more videos from Strasburg I could post, but this one is a really good video. Not because of 475 coming out of Strasburg heading out, not because I was in the right place at the right time, and not because I was really excited to enjoy everything Strasburg gave me Friday. No, this video is a really good video because you can hear from the start, one of Straaburg's staff doing his absolute best to inform someone who apparently is one of those other types of railfans that doesn't follow the rules to stay out of the way of the moving train.

I had the good luck to be filming right at the moment and you can hear him loud and clear to get back from where he came. If this person where to continue across the tracks as he was doing, he would have no choice but to stop as he would have hopefully noticed. So this video is a PSA to railfans, obey the rules of the trains, and respect those that work for them. Trains won't stop or give any chances to those who dare to not be ones with common sense.

Many, many years ago I purchased a Lionel AA set of RI E6 engines and the complete set of K-Line Golden State passenger cars.  What was neat about the Lionel engines were the cab numbers used, 628 and 630, were the pair that actually pulled the Golden State.

Unfortunately, the very first time I ran the engines the cruise system failed in one of them.  I put the engines and passenger set away and almost forgot about them until recently.  I sent the engines to forum member Alex_M to get fixed (he took out the Lionel cruise and put in ERR) and just picked them up at York. Since they were out I finally took some photos of them.

Peter,

Should that car color match the others?    It looks like the same (Too bright red) maroon paint that Lionel used for the Maine Central SW7.IMG_20190105_121218054

The hue is too red / pink and toy looking vs. the real B&M / Maine Central dark maroon.  I can live with it, since it will be hauling non scale bright colors MPC cars.

I agree......Mike, while I admit that I am mixing Lionel with MTH.....I don't think it is even close to the Tuscan that Lionel used on their previous N&W offerings.....it seems more red than Tuscan to me.

I freely admit that I am no N&W expert....I remain and always will be a New York Central, New Haven, PennCentral, Conrail and NYO&W guy.

That paint looks close to this, a New Haven color:

I took this pic a couple miles from home: Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum.

I'd like to paint an Atlas O SW8 to match.

I have not run any of my postwar in a while so today I did. On the track is my scout 6110 pulling some pw lionel and a few kusan/kmt boxcars. On track 2 is my Williams Lionel "want to be" pulling some freight. With 4 traction tires and 2 motors that Williams Seaboard looks good and can pull some cars. The back and forth trolley is an Industrial Rail and the yellow Rapid Transit, that de railed during video, is a Mini Toys.
