I picked up a new-old-stock (2009) motorized Lionel aquarium car at York.  The belt continues to slip when it reaches a certain spot, leading me to believe me it is stretched or that it has a "memory bump" in it from sitting for nine years.  I've tried gently pushing each roller toward its end of the car, but that only helped a bit.  I'm thinking of putting some black electrical tape on each of the rollers to increase their "thickness," & thus traction.  Has anyone tried this.. or have an alternate idea?  Thanks!

Thats interesting Carl.   Thanks.  Its good that Lionel offers those for the typical fish-related cars, but they have made dozens of of aquarium car variants, &I need the one for the Casper the Friendly Ghost car from 2009.   I know they can't cant continue to offer them all.

Interestingly, LIONEL states for each belt that it can be used for ANY aquarium car.

Also, if you have the product number for your car, you can enter the 6-xxxxx number in the search box on the site and receive a parts breakdown for your car, including a p/n for the belt assembly.

Well, it can be used for ANY aquarium car, but why would I want to put a belt with fish graphics into a Casper the Ghost car?  That would kinda defeat my purpose of getting the Casper car.
