Hey guys. I posted in another thread about my recent "York find". Lionel set #21786. I have been searching for this set for 15 years at a reasonable price. I finally found it and it is NIB. All that was missing was the shrink wrap and the seller accepted my first offer. It was my lucky day.

I enjoy collecting the Lionel premium sets. The 15" cars in this set do not bother me. I will run them along side my double stacks and 21" Union Pacific and Amtrak cars. I also included a pic of the 2001 TMCC F3 next to my 2018 Legacy model. I think the 2001 version looks pretty good compared to the latest offering.

Here are some pics and a video. This is my first video so please understand if it does not post properly.

I got it home yesterday, unpackaged and inspected everything, lubed it up and put it on the rails.

Very nice set, congratulations on a great find.  Your layout looks fantastic, anyplace to see more of it?  Thanks for posting the pics and the video.

Thanks.

Mr. Motts.....that is a good question. Short answer = NO. I have posted a few random pics here and there. I would love to post a lot more but I had an agreement with Allan Miller who was going to do a feature article on my layout. The agreement was not to post a lot of pics!

But the whole process is moving a lot slower than I expected. I plan to talk to Allan about the article and see if he still has interest. My old layout was a cover feature.....Run 255, quite a few years ago. This one is brand new built from the ashes of the old one.
