My local Wal-Mart recently removed their magazine rack as well.

This is only temporary. They will soon carry OGR again.

The best way to get OGR is to subscribe.

OMG - Why not just subscribe - Cheaper over time - no trips to vendors looking for it - I  always take the longest subscription offered & hope to  **** I don't die before it runs out.

I can buy it at our local newsagent right here in Perth, West Australia ! Roo.

Is B. Dalton and Waldenbooks still in business?  Haven't seen one outside of the Starcourt Mall in Hawkins, Indiana...

Same thought crossed my mind until I noted the "j/k" (just kidding, I believe ).

In my area(s) (Southeast PA, and also NY suburbs of Long Island) Dalton died probably nearly 20 years ago, then some years later Waldenbooks locations got absorbed/closed by Borders (owned by same company) until they eventually also went out of business probably 5 or so years ago.  Barnes and Noble is last one standing around here. 

Hope the coffee shop and collectible/toy departments they have integrated into the stores help keep them profitable so there is still a local brick and mortar store to buy books when wanted.

I assume this was intended as a joke, given that those book stores closed a long time ago.

I like the atmosphere of a new stand/bookstore.  The store I buy OGR at is right next to our favorite pizza parlor and I like to see other hobby mags and books.  If it becomes impossible to buy locally, then I'll surely subscribe.

I  still buy mine at our local train store (MB Klein AKA Model Train Stuff.  They just got the Nov/Dec issue in so I'll be seeing them this weekend.

Dave they are closing their walk-in retail store on Wednesday October 30th to make room for more on line inventory.  I've been a customer since 1958 when I started taking the streetcar from Catonsville.

So do I. Though it's an hour drive, and it's mainly HO and N … it's an excuse to go hang out with, and buy some stuff from, some really nice train folks.
