Just found this picture. As I recall we picked up the Daylight in Sacramento (where this shot was done) and filmed to Oakland Ca. I was a very young cameraman then. daylightDon't know what year, if I was holding my camera I could tell. Seeing the light meter on my belt I was most likely still shooting 16mm sound film. Maybe Hot Water would know the year. Don

No. The engine was not returned to the SP Daylight colors until 1981, for the participation in the grad opening of the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento. However, I do NOT recall operating from Sacramento to Oakland and back as part of that event.
