I’m repairing a GG1 - The front trucks that mount to the “Drive type” truck behind it with a shoulder screw need repair. But, Ineed to know, if one trucks top plate has a bend near the shoulder screw area. As, in right on pictures  Or, should both be straight like truck on the right. I also noticed the bend on a truck I picked up at York????? So, wonder if this is something common that occurs..

It should not be bent down. Careful when straightening. Don't put any pressure on the pilot casting or it is libel to snap off.

Thanks! Worth asking...not a big GG1 fan. So, never relay worked on one of these.

I need to replace the pilot on one and side frame and wheels - bend axle. It will be a lot easier as they are off.
