I bought a PRR and a NYC. I find the sound when sitting to be a bit soft...not easy to hear but when running down the track, it's a quite loud banging sound as goes. I guess that makes sense as to the sitting and moving, but the sitting sound is so quiet...and I have the sound turned all the way up.
I bought a PRR at York last week. Very happy with it, a real hoot to listen to. I was very hesitant to purchase it as I had the "freight sounds" boxcar, made a year or two ago, I thought was downright irritating and sold it. I really like hearing the camp sounds when the car is parked. The "train sounds" when it is moving, I think, are vastly improved over the previous versions.
