Well, let's see what happens when I get mine. My NW2 had them but my 1225 certainly did not and required some fabrication efforts to mount a Kadee. Even the NW2 required some minor effort to fill the huge pilot openings. I typically avoid Lionel rolling stock unless it's on mega blowout. The last caboose I bought new had Kadee mounts but the ride height was so off I had to do all kinds of stuff to get it right:

Just got a 5452 that was sent to Harry Hieke. Tried to program it with legacy but wouldn’t sound the horn after hitting set. It was put on program switch, engine, then a new number and set but didn’t sound the horn. Might be the tender all the way pushed in. Will send photos of it also.
