We have just purchased a new O gauge Polar Express 6-84328 for our granddaughter. I set it up to test it and it runs fine with the remote. After downloading the app to my android phone I was able to run the set with my phone, but that success was short lived. I now have a problem getting my Bluetooth to link up with the app. I continually get a message that I have the wrong passkey or pin.
I enter the recommended 0000 or 1234 code, but it will not link up. I researched this on line and have cleared the Bluetooth cache, made sure that Bluetooth was on and the location was able to be discovered. I removed and reinstalled the LionChief app, rebooted my phone and also did a reset on the remote, but none of these things resolved the issue. The engine does show up on the remote and it attempts to link-up, but obviously the Bluetooth will not hookup. The engine still runs fine with the remote. Both of our autos work fine with Bluetooth. We have yet another still sealed set that we are donating to the Church's auction and so I am especially anxious to solve this problem should it occur with the second set too. Any help most appreciated!

Shawn,

I have a current generation IPhone. As noted, I did remove and re-install the app. I got the app from the Google Playstore.

So which one is it?  Is it an iPhone running iOS or is it an Android based phone?  They’re two completely different things.

That, my friend, runs a flavor of Android. It's not an iPhone nor is it running iOS; it's not even an Apple product.

That being said, have you tried using another device? Are there other Bluetooth-enabled devices nearby (e.g. headphones) that might interfering?

FWIW, I have been unable to get the LC BT app to connect using the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but it works with the Samsung Galaxy S21.  "Works" may be an overstatement, because the range is pitiful anyway!

Sp, tne use of a phone with base 3 is better? There are not only app variables. There are phone hardware and firmware OS Update issues. Currently, working with bluetooth phone credentials and apps. A joy in itself.

ok, you've cleared cache?  Did, you try to reset your network settings? I had a weird issue with mobile hotspot on my phone. Only thing that fixed it - Although a apple. Don't totally reset the device. Just, reset network - if you haven't already tried.
