I have hardwood floors and lots of tinplate track. I have been tempted to get MTH Realtrax but was struggling to still figure out how to protect the floor. Much to my suprise I realized that the track has places to put MTH rubber feet in to protect the floor! Seems perfect- but I don't have any of this track and my concern is the heavy standard gauge engines (I have a wide range- heaviest being the lionel hiawatha and vanderbilt sets) will end up flexing the track (the rubber feet seem spread out a fair amount).

Is my concern legitimate? Are the rubber feet adequate to support Heavyyyy standard gauge engines?

Here is an ebay link with some track- see the rubber feet?
