Ran into a directional lighting problem upgrading the K-line Train Master using ERR's DC Commander. In conventional mode the headlights followed the locomotive's direction. In Command mode the rear headlight never came on though the front light worked in forward.
The fix was to reverse the lead of the rear headlight!
Since these are incandescent bulbs (not leds) I am still scratching my head. Anyone have ideas?

If they were incandescent, wonder if the connector had a temporary poor contact and you fixed it by your actions.
In another post Gunrunner John said that command lighting is pulsating DC while conventional lighting is AC. Maybe redoing things got enough current to light things. Sometimes it's best to just accept things.
Well, if they're incandescents, the only possible explanation for me would be a poor connection. In command mode, the lighting outputs from the R4LC are half-wave rectified track power. So basically yes, pulsating DC negative in respect to frame ground.
