Got a new Rev L TIU.  It's been years since I set up the last one.  Basic Question.  I powered up the tiu with external power, connected the transformer to a variable / command input, same channel out to track, all connections tight.  When I turn on the transformer and advance to 18v nothing is getting to the track?  Do I have to do some additional programing to get basic power through??

If this is your first TIU and foray into DCS, I recommend the DCS companion that you can buy through the MTH website. Couple that with the user manual and you will get a lot more out of DCS, a lot faster. I bought my first TIU 4 or 5 years ago. The companion really helped.

Yep, if you're using the variable channel for command operation, you'll want to program the channel in FXD mode.  Of course, since you have the TIU empty, just move the input and output to a fixed channel and it'll work like you expect.

Thanks John.  Got her up and running no problem. 😄
