Double Decker, Quad Bridge... Say WHAT???

It's true! This is just one of the custom models the TW TrainWorx Traingineers are in the midst of fabricating for one of our Traintastic Commercial Customers, Kansas City Union Station - Science City! There will be a brand new Train Themed Children's Museum in Science City that will be opening in 2020. We designed and are fabricating this 400+ square foot layout now in our Dallas, McGowan Street Studio.

This video shows model we're doing of existing bridge in Kansas City, Kansas River which is use today!

Happy Tracks!

Extraordinary workmanship.

Suggestion, Train Dame:  The thread title needs editing to reflect the project, e.g. "Double-decker/double-main line bridge" or something equivalent.  "Lift Bridge" isn't nearly descriptive enough IMHO.

And also mention whether it's a one of a kind(custom layout project), or an anticipated kit/product to be offered as a regular item.  (though I have to admit I would have a real challenge working that into a layout in a way that could do it justice! )

You guys are on your game - I actually posted this topic from my iPhone which I don't often do because I need to make it short and sweet when Im using the tiny keyboard and one thumb. Truth be known...  I use one thumb... not multiple digits from my phone So now I'm on my laptop - and I'll see about editing my post and adding all the pertinent information inquiring minds want to know - stay tuned

Take a look - ask and you shall receive and no... this won't be a kit! (Says TrainDame, who has been overruled in the past  )

Nice but not detailed enough for me.  I've looked thru your products like your bridges but your pieces are not detailed well enough for me. No bolting no gusset plates. Sure you can laser cut like the best of them but your super-modelers are not structural engineers.

So I dont fault you or any of the other laser-cutter companies for not knowing how to correctly design things because the modelers  don't have real-time design experience with actual bridges and buildings. I do.

Which is why I have a GlowForge for the flats parts and make 3D bolting parts with my FormLabs 2.
