Video has scenes of Third Avenue Railway street cars and sweepers in action.

This video has street cars, a LIRR commuter with 3rd rail shows in deep snow and a Peter Witt car. I think that the peter Witt car is a rare image of the New York & Queens Ry on Queens Boulevard, Long Island.

Life was much simpler back in those days and rail transport was everywhere. Pennsylvania Station was a busy places as was Grand Central.   The thing most fascinating about this video was that you don't see a person not wearing a hat.  People seemed smarter about cold weather dress back then and the indoor activities still included model trains. I would have liked to experience those days but that was way before I was born.

I thought so too, until I saw a guy without one......LOL   Check out the film at 1:07.  The guy is just to the left of the umbrella.

My hope would be that someday a time machine could be built.  But I doubt that will happen in my lifetime.
