Engines will not become active | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have 5 MTH engines that have all run well on my current layout. I've done some "re-tracking" on the layout. 2 engines when power is on come on immediately without being started up. I have to shut them down via my ipad and restart them to have them operate correctly. So those two run fine on the layout. I put 3 other engines on and they are NOT recognized and therefore do not go into the ACTIVE level. One was working fine yesterday, but not today. I deleted two engines, so I could add them back to the system, but they do not show up anywhere...."no new engine to add".

Any thoughts? Never had this problem before.

Re-check polarity on all wires.

Do a signal test with running engine.

If everything worked fine before you moved track around then the issue has to be caused by whatever track work you did. Check there first.

Duh....failed to hook up wires as they were originally thus the problem. Thanks for waking me! Chug on...
