1/43 auto carriers | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

A couple of weeks ago during the long ongoing 1/43 - 1/48 car debate, I made a () comment about some manufacturer making a 1/43 auto carrier for all those "outsized" cars most of us have. Thinking it over, would this be such a horrible idea (other than for the true-scale people)? It would certainly look better than the empty ones currently available. Opinions/condemnations?

Sure, great idea. Myself, I have more 1/43 autos than I can arrange on the layout anyway. The cars could be filled with autos and placed on a siding as a display. Neat.

How about a set... One for the rails & one for the road (with out the cab). I could buy a couple sets of those (or just the rail cars).

How about more manufacturers make 1:48 cars that will fit in the existing auto carriers?

forget the volume, watch out for the total weight in the carrier.
