The LC+2.0 Hudson I own has a drawbar that contains contacts to connect the loco and tender. While looking at the pacifics like the one in the "subject" it looks like it has a standard drawbar (no contacts). I don't see a wire in the picture. Are these units optically connected? Or is the wire hidden in the photo?

Pro tip- what the big "L" advertises is not always what ships. Pictures should have a disclaimer, colors and actual details may not be accurate.

Again, sorry to say, you literally stumbled across one of my complaints of the BTO model and current and recent catalogs. The big "L" renders and recolors previous photos and 3D models and are typically NOT actual samples and photos of what you "think" you are buying. Technical details, visual details, and yes, again especially paint color, probably will not match.
Just remember- customer service says we are too picky and they are just toys.
