Good news - a long awaited update and one that is a smart move for MTH. I enjoy the DCSRC....a fun little item for what it is.

Do you know if all new PS3 engines coming out of China will have this capability or only those in RTR sets? 

The ASC service advisory wasn't clear on that point. However. at MTH in August for the PS3 workshop, I believe that it was stated that all new engines going forward would be so equipped.

If they are not capable, this is probably something in the chain files that can be updated.

That's correct, if a modified chain file exists for the particular engine.
