Was looking into preordering one from the Scott man but I saw that the latest info I can find is from 2018, is the L1 cancelled as it’s been 2 years from any info about it or is it still in the works. Really wanna get one but confused if it’s really gonna be made or idk 😬. There seems to be no info of a due reservation date or really anything about it.

Why not contact Third Rail directly? Scott Mann is usually pretty responsive to inquiries.
That photograph of the real locomotive was made the last time Scott came in for York which was last October. We went to the B&O museum in Baltimore and looked at a lot of things including the EA passenger diesel and the B&O GP, both of which he intends to do as well as the C&O Hudson.
One of the curators was kind enough to let us into a private area to photograph the B&O GP.

Well i'm probably late with this Report, and not being on this Forum as much as anyone else is?, like everyone else i had heard different reports? about wether 3rdRail was or wasn't going to Make the C&O L-1 "Yellowbelly" HUDSON or NOT?, In an email from last week FEBRUARY 2021, i emailed Scott Mann about this matter?, he told me that 3rd Rail was Going Ahead with the Production of the Engine and the entire "CHESSIE" Consist, which of course has made me Happy, i have the Lionel Version in Both 3rail and an 3rail converted to 2rail, but having an up to date Version and of course, i made an reservation for the entire set in the Orange Scheme, an pricey endevor on my part, but if your want the correct train, this is the time too do it, like i said i'm late with this report? but i wanted to mention it.
Hi, sorry it took so long to respond, decided to go for it and put the order in for the late yellow Hudson as that's how I've seen it my entire life. Put the order in yesterday.

I contacted him directly about the production of the Chessie Train, he told me that there going to do it, he said it should be available around mid to late summer, I have ordered the engine and all 6 Car's, plus the 2 extras that's being offered?, Thinking about ordering the B&O Capital Limited too?
Wow, that's a big order. I don't spend a lot on trains so this will be a big order and an engine that holds a lot of family memories. Like I said I'm just getting the Hudson, I might get a dome or a coach car but I will have to think about it.
Yeah I know it's more than I wanted to spend, but the locomotive is one of my favorite locomotives. That operated on the C&O
