Re: #41 switcher wheels locked

Hi guys been a while since I have been on here,after and absence from the hobby I came across a 41 army switcher with the wheels locked.I have pulled it apart cleaned every thing I could but when I put it back together the wheels don't move,I have been 1/24th slot car racing for most of my duration so I know a little about motors and wiring on these little buggers and yes I have the little ball bearing for the top plate.I have search,although not to extensively on the forum any help would be appreciated

As you put it back together, what is the last part you put on that causes the binding?

Are you trying to turn the wheels without power to the motor?

I think these little motorized units have single-thread worm gears, and are not back-drivable. I.e., you can’t turn the motor by turning the wheels, so don’t force it. What happens when you apply power?

The last thing is the arm plate.I didn't force anything no power to unit when try to spin wheels.That is all for now.I have been searching thru these pages and am learning more,sorry this looks like it has been posted a few times my apologies
