I know that there are problems with steam shipments in both MTH product lines, however, has anyone heard as to what is up with diesel shipping?

I have been patently awaiting a pair of E8 RailKing engines in the action red CP scheme. Original shipping date was to be in July 2011; The date kept moving until it now reads January 2012. There has been no update since to the schedule.   The matching passenger cars have shipped and I have those, but I really want the matching set and am looking forward to getting the engines. Part of the delay was to upgrade to PS 3, which is a nice bonus.

For now I am using the F3 in the older scheme, they look nice together, but I really think the red E8s will be a stunning looking set!

Any of you dealers out there know what’s up?

I am speculating with the component shortages they are using what pieces they have for either the mot profitable or most popular items. Think of how long it took to get the CA-1 cabeese tooled and shipped. The good news is they didn't cancel them. Hopefully include them again in the new catalog and get more orders. We had the same issue with the first E-8's.

I can relate. I just received my Rail King Nickel Plate Road Alco PA's a few weeks ago. They were 2010 v2 or 2011 v1...I honestly don't remember. They got pushed back twice, then it was announced they'd get PS-3, then pushed back a couple more times, and then finally arrived.

What I can say, is that with the PS-3, it is well worth the wait. I just run conventional but I've been very impressed with the sound and functions of the locomotive. MTH hasn't had their "items scheduled to ship" section in their weekly newsletter for a few weeks.

With the slow down in shipping (it seems) I wonder what effect that will have on what will be in the 2012 v2 catalog that should be coming out at York?

Well, I found an advantage to the delays...... Since MTH has back dated expected delivery on several engines I've preordered, I've more time to set aside funds for them. That has freed up the current cash, and I, along with Trainpop and Steve Tapper, was able to enjoy a few hours Saturday reducing Al's inventory at Sidetrack Hobbies during his 10% sale!

I think MTH must be reading this forum, I just checked their shipping schedule and new dates have been input. My engines are now shown as a March delivery, just yesterday when I made the post it still said January.

My wait will soon be over, hopefully this new date will be the last change required to the schedule.

I really like their products. Nice to know they may have been listening (it could of just been a coincedence, but I will give them the benifit of the doubt!)

Bruce,

If you pre-ordered, I'd check with your dealer as it indeed shows that it shipped in January . If you look on the MTH site, a long list of dealers shows them in stock.

You are right.... I purchased form Charles Roe and he's not listed

as having them. Gee, I thought he would be one of the first ones to

have them.

Checked the CR website and they are not listed there either...

Oh well... hopefully I'll have it before June.

Our club built an M&M module and I was hoping to run

the handcar on it...

 Thanks for the info....

I am one that is still waiting for both my friend.

Looks like your wait will come to an end soon, samples are on the MTH facebook page.
