As I mentioned in my most resent BLOG video, I'm going to be hosting an open house for my layout on September 26th of 2015. In part of ramping up for that, I've been doing alot of work both on the layout and on the room itself. One of the biggest things that I am working on is something that people have been getting on my case for for years. I am finally getting around to adding wall panels to the building to cover up the insulation on the walls.
The insulation has been up for about 5 years, but I've never gotten around to covering it up. Originally I was going to use sheet rock, but that was to much money and effort to do. These panels are from Lowes and were about 8.00 dollars each. I still need to get bottom and top pieces for the window areas, but I will be doing that once I get two more boards for the other side of the table. Eventually it will go all around the room.
Other projects that will need do be done before the open house is building a rack under the table to hold my boxes.
They will have to be off of the floor, for obvious reasons, and out of the way. As of right now they are all sitting on top of my cabinets and blocking part of the view of the layout (infact, they're so high that they are touching the bottom of the loft area).
Who said it was all about running trains!? haha! All for the greater good.
