I have been thinking about building some BCRs with 5.6V Supercapacitors. Some BCR designs I have seen use 2.7V Supercapacitors. Are there disadvantages using the 5.6V Supercapaictors? thanks, Carl
Well, 5.6V ones are hard to find, they're normally 5V or 5.4V as they're just two of the smaller ones in heat-shrink. There's no downside to building a battery replacement that way, that's how I've done probably 30-40 of them for 3V PS/2 engines.
