I just discovered 61 alerts on OGR. I opened to see what they were because I've NEVER had more than 2 or 3 because I'm on here daily. These were from multiple posts and none that I saw were on a specific post I made. Weird.
WHY DID I HAVE 61 Alerts???????????? Guessing malfunction of some sort.

I had a similar thing when they did the change a few days ago.
In my case, I somehow ended up with alerts selected for every time a certain thread had a new post (I don't use that feature, and I hadn't even viewed the thread in question recently, so it would have been hard for me to accidentally hit the button).
I just clicked on the thread in question, saw that the "following" indicator at the top left was set, so I turned it back off. that stopped the alerts for me.

I have 86 alerts. I never have that many. The greatest percentage relate to a long thread to which I have never replied. I won't mention who I blame, but I will say "nyet, nyet, tovarichki!

That posted cure worked for me...now l get NO alerts. Blog monitor says Hoop La meddled.

I ignore them, occasionally I go into my profile and clear them.
