I have one of my Challengers running today and after coming out of a curve I saw a spark under the leading tender trucks and I lost the rail sounds.  The locomotive runs fine and works perfectly with another tender.  It appears that I fried a board in the tender.  I lost the chug, crew talk bell and whistle.  The steam sounds when just sitting are still there.  The tender did not derail nor was there anything on the track to cause a short.  I tried resetting the system but that is only for the locomotive and does nothing for the tender rail sounds.  The bell started to ring and would not go off until I cut power.  Any ideas to correct the problem or should I just send this off to Lionel to fix?

Unfortunately, the incessant bell is a pretty sure indicator that a trip to Canfield is necessary. The good news is that turn around time is two weeks.
