Lionel Freight Loader

I came across this video of Lionel's Freight Loader. I've tried asking the question about how Bill Schmeelks did it, but he may not be monitoring Youtube. Has anyone else seen it. If so, do you know if Bill had to do any major work to the conveyer to get it to move as it does.
