The Duckunder welcomes a new industry!

The Dagwood sandwich trailer now abuts the Dithers & Bumstead loading dock awaiting its load of famous Dagwood sandwiches ready to be delivered.

The rail dock sees inbound reefers with sandwich raw materials of perishable meat, cheese & vegetable products as well as boxcars of dry goods such as flour (Dithers & Bumstead bakes its own bread fresh daily), condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, pickles, etc.), spices, and paper products for packaging the delicious sandwiches. Note the cold goods have been whisked inside the plant into the coolers, while some dry goods remain on the platform for working into the warehouse.

I like the idea of Blondie on the dock. Must go dig in my box of figures.

The six pallets of crates under Dithers are lettuce.

The trailer started as an Ertle that was lying around minus the tractor. A wrapper and a few details added.

George

ps: Bill, when you are in town you will have to come by and see the beginnings of Glen Lyn (VGN) in my basement.
