I have proposed this model in O scale/gauge in several OGR Forum threads and would buy two or three. I believe it would have high sales in multiple production runs. Not clear to me why it hasn't already been produced in O... The ACS-64s travel through the most densely populated area of the US. Many people have seen and ridden behind them.

It's clear to me.....

ONE RR

TWO paint Schemes

Limited geographicly to Northeast Unied States.

Look at Lionel and whay happened to the HH8!

Should SEPTA, NJ Transit, and MARC obtain this model then it's time to tool up!

Septa bought them. They have taken delivery of a few.

There are 5 Amtrak paint Schemes.

600, 601 and 602 were all delivered with different schemes, then the standard scheme, and 642 Veterans.

Now plus Septa.

Marc has gone all diesel, I believe, and NJT has gone for the ALP46 and the dual mode units.

The way to look at it is to slide tool this so you can make a Eurosprinter and ACS64 with the same base tooling.

MTH won’t do it

Youre not kidding!!!

Why not? Who told you guys?

Im prepared to do a sit in at Trainfest this fall at their booth until they comply!! 🤪

Their trend has not been to add new tooling.  MTH wont even paint the rest of the 1970s autotrain consist that they started with the car carriers on existing models.  I am moving to custom painting rather than wait 48 years for MTH to make something.

Lionel made an HHP-8, a much less popular or successful locomotive.

I bought that set, the HHP-8 lasted just about an hour and a half. A friend who worked for Amtrak said that Lionel got that right; the real ones were not too reliable. Note that it was quite a few years after I bought it that I started to run it.

The first HHP-8 by Lionel was horrible. I returned mine after much ado.  Mike Reagan sold me a second version with TMCC and upgraded motors while I was at a Canfield Lionel openhouse.  That loco has been great.  I wish I had a MARC Rail version
