With all the recent rain curtailing any outside work, I finally got the bug to do some layout work. I decided to forgo a turntable installation which would have used too much room and instead use a wye. A few yard storage tracks are first, then a wye and finally a diesel facility.

Yard to be in the distance, Wye in the middle and facility to the right.

Laying out track scheme.

Ground cover base.

Track placement with initial ground color on.

Location experimentation.

I like a clean work area.

A York blowout for $175. Couldn't pass it up!

AM track & switches with cork roadbed on mainlines over homasote base. No cork on yard areas just the homasote base. One needs to stay hydrated!
