tender in search of a missing Minton Cronkhite Berkshire engine ..... from Show West

The crude construction smacks of a commercial kit similar to a pair of brass 8 wheel tenders I own.  One of them came to me mated to a heavy Mikado kit from the late 40's.  IIRC, the kit was manufactured by Hines, according to DeBruin.  It too is relatively crude but proportioned correctly for a USRA copy.  It lends itself well to additional detailing, which I performed on mine.  Details specific to the AT&SF Berkshire prototype could be easily added and rearranged when building since the boiler is not cast.

Thank you for reply but I'm seeking the original engine  that came with the tender as shown in the photo. ..I know it is out there somewhere ..just have to find it ..

Do you mean the O Scale West show in Santa Clara ?

There were many Estate sales of older Locomotives there.

The offer was only to help identify the origins of engine #4103, not an offer to sell something similar. Sorry if it sounded as such.

A possible clue that 2 Birkshires utilizing  near identical tenders exist is the different configurations of the upper railings on 4103 and 4106 tenders.

Hello yes    O Scale West show in Santa Clara......  two weeks ago   ..the tender was part of an "estate" / "pile" ...  just trying to reach out if anyone purchased the Berkshire..or heck any other Minton Cronkhite engines at the meet ....

I'm sure 4103  is under the 4106 ...but I'd rather not make a mess of it trying to get the 4106 off the sides ...  4103 would be hand lettered ...4106 are 3 separate paper labels  (4 , 1, 06 ) atop the old lettering  .
