I have the Bowdish Homestead sold by Lionel. When I run electricity through it it lights up, but the woman in rocking chair, nor the woman on a minor turntable on the second floor don't work as they are suppose to. Any thoughts how to fix this. the item seems brand new although I bought it second had.

Thanks,

Leeg

When I was a child I had the opportunity to visit the Charles Bowdish homestead near Brookville, PA. for their annual Christmas display.   This was about 1956 or '57 before the display was moved to Buhl Planetarium in Pittsburgh.  There were several large room-sized dioramas with Lionel trains with his signature animation and also a nativity scene

Walmart Tom The Brookville Pa. Bowdish  Display was moved to Buhl Planetarium Pitts . Pa.1954 and later to Carnegie Science Center where it is now called  Miniature Railroad & Village. Since 2002 Brookville Pa. Jefferson county History Center on main street Has displayed and operated an o gauge railroad honoring miniaturist Charles Bowdish. For more info Contact JCHC .

Thanks for the reply.  I'm originally from Brockway, PA.  My grandfather, Joe Martino, ran an Italian grocery store on the north end of Main Street, later to become Martino's Super Duper.  It is still owned and operated as Martino's BiLo by my cousin.  I am currently retired in Florida.  Feel free to contact me.  My e-mail is in my profile.
