Please remember...

In order for the caterer to have a successful event, we need to reach a minimum number of attendees who will be having dinner at the meeting. If we don't reach that minimum number by October 1st, it will be necessary to cancel the meeting.

We need additional dinner "reservations" prior to October 1st if this meeting is to take place.

It's important that you either post on the meeting thread, or send me an E-mail using the address in my profile, if you will be attending the meeting, and also whether or not you'll be joining us for dinner.

I look forward to a productive and successful meeting - thanks!

Barry,

Probably still too early to know whether the meeting is on but I'd like to suggest a topic for the MTH update. I'm sure the tariffs on Chinese products will have some impact on the price of model trains but I would like to hear MTH comments on the subject.  I'm sure the tariffs will apply to other manufacturers so MTH is not alone.

Thanks.

Ed

We are close to making a go/no-go decision for the meeting, based on the headcount for dinner so that the caterer can have a decent event. At present, we don't have enough people joining us for dinner to justify the meeting taking place.

If this meeting is cancelled, it will be necessary to find a different venue for future meetings where dining at the meeting is not a factor. Changing the meeting venue may also necessitate changing when the meeting tales place. I've resisted this in the past because I've always considered the socialization that takes place during dinner to be a key part of the meeting.

If you plan to attend the meeting, particularly if you also plan to have dinner at the meeting, it is very important that you let us know within the next few days.

While we haven't quite reached the threshold for the caterer, we are very close.

I'll be away for a week or so and will contact the caterer upon my return to make a go/no go decision. If you intend to join us at the meeting, particularly if you'll also be joining us for dinner as well, please do let us know!

I look forward to seeing all of you at the meeting!

Hey guys I just wanted to say that this meeting is worth the cost of the dinner!  Barry and the crew do a wonderful job at answering the questions you may have as well as upgrading all your DCS equipment.  Along with the MTH folks that come and give you some Q&A along with one on one time it's certainly a great opportunity to meet fellow train and DCS enthusiast.  If you are on the fence about attending take the plunge.  You won't regret it and will definitely learn a thing or two.  These type of York events are an excellent side benefit of the meet.  I hate to see them go away.
