Very nice Eric. Thank you.
Very useful. Thank you, Eric!
Interesting, even though I've never even used a smartphone, much less owned one, and I don't really use DCS. OK, I have a little Remote Commander, but haven't used it in 2 years or so. It's a bit fussy.
I'm one of those CAB-1 with an antenna stuck at about 3" kind of guys.
Since the system uses a phone, can your locomotives call you in the middle of the night?
Enjoyed it, though. But, when you are this far behind, and happy, there's no catching up.

Does anyone know if the higher voltage put out by the Z750 power supply (versus the Z500 or Z1000) causes overvoltage problems for the Trains (particularly for the bulbs) like I’ve heard it does when using the older MTH trainset analog controller?

Very nicely done, Eric! Simple, straightforward, and covers all the info needed to get Explorer up and running.

Will dcs explorer control subway and trolley announcements?
No, it will not
if not if I upgrade the ap will that work?
No, under no circumstances will the DCS Explorer allow use of Transit Station Announcements. Both the WIU and the Premium version of the DCS App are required to operate subway and trolley announcements.
Everything that you need to know about DCS WiFi is all in MTH’s “The DCS WiFi Companion 2nd Edition!" |
