Hi,
I am wondering if anyone out there could give me any updates regarding the Nette auction house collapse. Being in contact with and as a registered victim with the Connecticut's attorney general's office and on their mailing list, I understand that the owner was charged with numerous felonies and a trial was scheduled for May of 2017. Since then I've been informed of continuous postponements every month or so leading up to the last one in September of 2018. I called the attorney general's office once and someone not directly connected with the case said when they are postponements that usually means the AG's office and the accused are negotiating a settlement. That sound good when he told me late 2016 but now we're approaching 2019 and the postponements are still continuing. I was hoping someone out there would have some insight into what's really going on.
Thank you,
Bob Del Castillo

Donald's accident was over 3 1/2 years ago and according to his defense updates from the Connecticut DA's office he seems to be fully recovered. The 87 or so victims of these thieves are pleading with the DA to settle this matter once and for all and take it to trial.
According to the DA the last offer from the defense lawyers was that Donald would plead guilty to a misdemeanor and be sentenced to time served only if all charges were dropped against his wife. Does not include any returning of money's to the victims. General consensus from the victims was this is outrageous and to take it to trial which apparently the DA is reluctant to do. Mark Tobias has always pleaded ignorance to what was going on with the company. Although he boasted the title of vice president, he contended it was only a title with no real input into running the company. I'll leave that up to you to come to your own conclusion.
