many many many flats cars I have loaded up. Both with farm tractors and construction equipment. I have used twist ties, those stretchy hair ties the girls put in their hair, and simple wire twisted together under the flat car. farm tractors come from Tractor supply, train shows, flea markets and antique stores. Construction vehicles come from the same. A long string (9-10 cars) at train shows get more attention than any other cars I run because of the variety and color. Sorry I don't have any pics.

I use green floral wire. First I wrap the wire around the axles of my vehicle then measure out where they fit onto the flatcar. Finally I drill the corresponding pinholes thru the flatcar, pull the wore through, twist the ends and cut off any excess wire so as to not hit the rails. I did over 20 cars like this with my Military loads.
