I have always had 40' s and 50's lionel trains . I know nothing about newer trains  I was giving k-line spirt of conrail  model k2407-2943  the train had lights and

audio no movement.  Read on form about pc board burning open, removed all pc boards off mother board  and found the power input from front roller open  hard wired a jumper as I was wiring jumper I was thinking  it still should of moved because of power from back roller …. put all back together now lights or sound work train does nothing checking the dcdr board,, power in ok but nothing out,,,, bad bridge rectifier traics all look ok getting a new bridge rectifier my question is why did I lose function of lights and audio how does lights and audio get powered up was working till removing all boards from mother board ?Cant find any schematic or wiring diagram and with out that I cant tell how it works... could it be software  old timer needs help

when I first checked train it was on running track had lights and audio,, no movement repaired burnt trace on mother board put back together,, this time with new dcdr board and went to test train this time I used my spare zw trainsformer   on test track checked voltage at track was ok coudnt figure out why every thing didn't work now took train to running track worked ok …...found the tfmr had red light removed installed one now as I increased power the red light got brighter found bad connection in tfmr going from circuit breaker to common repaired all ok  ……….reinstalled the old dcdr board and it was bad

Some of the K-Line stuff had an undersized trace on the motherboard that was prone to being cooked.  If you examine the bottom of the motherboard, you may find your problem.  The lights are powered from the R2LC, the audio is from the audio power board.  The fact that all of them are out indicates a common power problem.

As for the DCDR, I have some of those, send me an email and I can fix you up with a cheap one.
