Plastic tree is up and the train loop set-up around the tree.    I'm currently without a layout.   So this is it.    On this loop is my early 70's MPC Cannonball set.    Where the love for O gauge started for me, all those years ago!IMG_20181207_070742887

Next is the G scale layout at my local mall.IMG_20181206_120600960IMG_20181206_120643354

A not to be remembered  2017 Christmas layout memory

After having the layout up and running and fully scenicked I started getting derailment UNDER my plateau WAY IN THE BACK, of course.  I investigate and find the below shown issue.  Start dismantling things to get to it.  In the overall image below, the area is right below were the red engine on top of the plateau is sitting.

What remains as a mystery is how it possibly could have happened.  It's not like someone could have moved the homasote that the track is screwed down to.

Work on the layout is on hold until the holidays are over. Just not enough free time. There is TIME however, to run some trains!

Scott, is that the multi-gauge layout at the museum? I don't know why I thought it was in the basement but I see windows.

That is the multi-gauge layout I have been building with my son Joshua and Tim Pierce. It is in the basement. The entrance is in the back of the museum. The windows are on ground level.

The Club meets on Tuesday nights 6:30 to 8:30. We have an open house anytime the museum, has a special event. Yes, we would love to have new members! This past weekend was the Candy Cane Express weekend at the museum.

Rest in Peace Mr President.

We will be running this engine at the TMB open house this weekend first on point for a Desert Storm military consist and them pulling a string of Yellow UP passengers cars for Bush's Funeral train. Check out my video of this train posted earlier this week on the forum

Now I wish I had one of those diesels. Very good yesterday watching that train run thru Texas.

KCS 616 was painted this way to correspond to the winning drawing in a Louisiana grade school coloring contest to celebrate the 200 year anniversary of the USA. The KCS Lines were always very family-oriented and had a big ceremony to announce the winner. They also later painted a second unit in the same scheme, the 642, an SD40-2.

    a lot more great photo's here :    https://trainspo.com/photo/53179/

Being a N&W fan, my UP rolling stock is non-existent. Fortunately, I have the UP 4141. The consist was borrowed from another RC3R member (thanks, Bob!). Regardless, this was a hit this evening at the GBGH.

I bought this solely because of the cool paint job. Today, I'm grateful to have it. Rest in peace, Mr. President.
