In an antiques mall, I recently found a Green plasticville ambulance. Has the plasticville raised small lettering inside as postwar stuff owns.  I have researched  the palasticville collectors club, and plasticville master index for some Identification.

cant find a green one, just blue, yellow or grey. Will post a photo soon.

Thanks for any info.

WOWl a dark blue postwar plasticville ambulance was sold recently for over $312 from esteemed well known Plasticville dealers.  Apparently a rare one that was just produced one year and part of a set of vehicles. There are warnings of re painted fake ones in plasticville land. This authentic one made a collector happy I am sure, not me, my green one was $6. My green one is  Still a mystery!

Little plastic simple toy, who would of thought! I have never seen a green one at shows or in collectors sites, I have never seen a blue one either other than photos like this.

OTTAWA MARC, If the stuff you tossed had a blue ambulance or blue bus, yeah.

if Not, doesn't matter.

It's your junk if you can't use it anyway.... Lol.

good, were no vehicles.

Train parts are starting to merge with VW bug parts in my shop, "way" to much of both.

This may lead to a 1600cc dual-port 700E Hudson.

As a serious collector of Plasticville And having a complete postwar and early tonlate 80’s/90’s collection of every known variation along with rare uncataloged items, a few dealers displays and factory errors, I dug out my rare blue ambulance and bus. Ambulance only came in the make and play series but the bus also came in some vehicle assortments especially in Lionel boxes. The green one shown above is new production and is common. Came in the current and late 90's new Plasticville line with the Automobile Assortment. Yellow was the other color. Original Postwar Plasticville Ambulances are Orange or Gray or the rare Blue

Hello, Just checked in the Plasticville USA book and it only lists the colors : grey, Orange and Blue. Blue being the one worth a lot more money as already discussed. Maybe the "Green One"  is the "Holy Grail" of the Plasticville Ambulance Collectors Society?? Or maybe  it is a modern version by Bachman or repro?

It is one of the reasons that I find Plasticville to be so interesting, you never know what you may find!

Rick

HI RICK, nah the green one is modern production came in the 45987 vehicle assortment. while not as common as the modern yellow one they are out there. cheap if you hunt them . kinda like the gray pickup i had a hard time finding. the red one being common . here is a pic of the box and content both versions came in the same box. the green ambulance sticking up on the right side rear. that photo was borrowed from the internet. i posted pics of both versions everything is the same except the ambulance and bus colors were swapped.
