Disappearing train

Some years ago I saw the specs for a layout in which a multi car train went into a mountain -and, as the last car disappeared, the engine emerged. I believe the engine dropped below the tunnel, which I believe was about 18”, and circled beneath the surface of the layout to double back and come out the other end. I would like to give this a try. Can anyone point me to a description and layout specs.

There's a design where two trains careen towards each other, both entering tunnels in the same mountain. One diverts underground, and the other one exits the tunnel. Makes for a good illusion.

I looked for the design, but failed. Perhaps someone has it in their files?
