For more that 50 years my lovely wife had and has the patience to put up with me and my trains she even help me building my 25'x50' layout (no done yet) , but about four months ago or so her cardiologist inform us that one of her heart valves is not working properly and unfortunately due to her age she is unable to operate her neither can go thru her groin because is too risky and she advice an Eco-Cardiogram which was done a few days ago and the results are not very good, therefore on January 31 we have an appointment with another specialist cardiologist that she recommend; I am not pessimistic but I think only one miracle can save my wife live and I do believe in miracles because it happen to me  before and with your permission guys please prey for my wife, her name is Josefina I ask with tears in my eyes, thank you.

I had a valve replacement at age 65 without a problem, even though I had conditions which complicated it.  Hope the same for you!

I don't know if you looked into MT Sinai  Hospital, in NY City.  They perform miracles.  I speak from experience.  They have the best Cardiac center in the north east.  When I was there, there were patients from all over the US and Europe.  Dr. David Adams, has invented several procedures and techniques for Valve replacements, repairs, and even transplants.  Google his name and take a look.  Just another option for you.  There were plenty of patients in their 90s.  I made friends with a man, 85, that came up from Florida for an Aortia Valve. He went back home before I did....  Medicare and  all insurance accepted.  I will only go to MT Sinai, and the local hospital is only one mile from my house.

Either way best of luck, and prayers sent'...

i do not know where you live, but pick the major medical center nearest to you for a second or third opinion.  the biggest are sometimes the best for a reason.  mayo is one and a half hour one way drive for me and it is worth it.  it is world class.

cleveland clinic, johns hopkins, penn, jefferson, hahneman mayo in rochester phx fla, etc, etc good luck.
