New Atlas O announcements for January.... Orders are due next week! (2/20)

What about news on "old Atlas". Like F3's, VO1000's and GP7's and all the freight cars that say "TBA".

My understanding is the container(s) with the F3’s were to depart 1/10/19. I haven’t talked to them in the past week to confirm they got away..... I believe the VO1000s are next.

Cool...another PA based reefer!  I just submitted a pre-order for the Pittsburgh Provision and Packing reefer.

So that Conrail is a Trinity 5161? I take it it's a Faux scheme.

Yes, the Atlas catalog page says that the Conrail, Chessie, SP and Alaska Railroad are all alternate history paint schemes.

Do you know if any of the Trinity hoppers have round hatches instead of trough hatches.  I can see that the artwork indicates trough hatches, but I wouldn't necessarily trust photoshop artwork to be truly accurate in the details.  As far as I know, Atlas had only ever produced one run of hoppers with the round hatches.  It would be nice to see more.

Alaska Railroad actually had ACF Center Flow Cylindrical 3-bay covered hopper for a while, but Atlas has never had them produced in the O scale line. They jumped right to the Trinity 5161 3-bay covered hoppers. Perhaps the people at Alaska Railroad will actually purchase or lease new covered hoppers from Trinity.

Atlas O released their January announcements today. New paint schemes for Master 36' Wood Reefers; New paint schemes and road numbers for the Master O 40' 1937 AAR Single Door Boxcar; and then the re-announced the Master O Trinity 5161 Covered Hopper with a new lowered price. Delivery for all three models is projected to be 3Q2019.
