I have a rectangular layout measuring about 20 x 8 of mth realtrax powered by a z-1000 power brick. The infrared lockon is positioned on one of the corners, and the issue I am having is the train slows down to a crawl when entering the first corner going away from the lockon in either direction. After getting through the curve, the train gradually picks up speed until it passes the lockon and then starts to slow down again. My track is clean and the tabs under the tracks are making good contact. Please help!!

Additional lockons will solve the issue. You can start by placing one at that furthest point (where the slowdown is most pronounced) and run a power and ground wire from the transformer (use the same posts that you're using for the original lockon.

On a large layout you can run as many additional lockons, from the same power source, as you need. Some of our temporary loops have used 4 lockons to keep the power level even.
