ProtoCoupler Connection to newer Protosound power board | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Replacing Protosound boards in an F2A that has an original protosound board set, where the motor and power connectors are wires, not 2-pin molex connectors. Question is this: The protocoupler wire on the original installation goes from 'coil 1' on the board to the center position on the direction switch.

The new board has a four pin connector (see attached photo). Pinouts are: ACG, coil 1, ACG, coil 2. My question is this - Can I connect one wire from 'coil 1' to the center of the direction switch? or do the couplers operate in a different manner on the new board versus the original?

Works same just has connector. G

Got it! ACG and Coil 1 - works fine. Able to activate both couplers with the switch.
